For the 3 phases compressor usually needs to be connected with the 3 live wires and 1 ground wire. Some compressors also need to be connected with the neutral wire. If the compressor alarms or shows “phase wrong”, then need to change any of the two live wires then it will be fine.

For the single phase compressor, just need to connect the left and right two ports like the below photo.
